The Department of Master of Computer Applications was established in year 1997 and is the first PG programme started in RVCE. Currently, we offer one PG programme MCA and Research programmes viz M.Sc by Research and Ph.D. Degree in various specializations of Computer Applications, Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Intake of students in first year is 120 students and 20% intake as lateral entry to 3rd semester. The MCA programme is accredited for second time by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi since September 2013. Our graduates have the distinction of obtaining higher positions in reputed IT industry. The faculty is diverse, committed, highly qualified with Doctorates in various specializations. They deliver quality education to students blended with rich research experience along with classroom teaching. The faculties are engaged in active research works and projects funded by AICTE, NRB, DRDO agencies for Rs.61.76 lakh and have ongoing research projects for Rs. 21.146 lakh. Department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing equipment supported by high speed Ethernet and wireless networks.
