The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology (CSIT) was set up in the institute in 2012 It offers four year B.Tech. programme affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak. At present, the intake for B. Tech. programme is 60. The department has state-of-the-art infrastructure with latest hardware and software and focuses on creative and innovative class room teaching, team work, interpersonal communication skills, and research activities. The Computer Labs are equipped with i5, i3 and dual-core PCs with 4 GB / 2 GB RAM. All labs are fully networked through high speed LAN with Cisco Routers and managed switches having Internet connectivity of 12Mbps, 1:1, RF link along with Wi-Fi (ZYXel). The department lays emphasis on both theory and practical exposure of the following subjects: Data Structure, Web Technology, Software engineering, Algorithm Analysis and Design, Operating Systems, Computer Graphics, Database Management Systems, Object Oriented Programming, Visual Programming, Compiler Design, Multimedia Technologies and Computer Networks. The department also provides exposure to emerging technologies as well as futuristic technologies like Grid Computing, Cloud computing, Soft Computing, Fuzzy and Neutral Network, Ad hoc Network, Wireless Network, Genetic Algorithms, Data Mining and Wireless Sensor Network etc. The department is run by a team of well qualified experienced faculty members to train the students so that they can perform to their fullest and attain leadership qualities. To channelize the tremendous potential of the faculty members & students, the department organizes technical events, workshops, seminars and guest lectures by eminent personalities on a regular basis.
