The first batch of instrumentation engineers graduated in 2002 and the results indicated that their performance was one of the best in the University of Mumbai. The curriculum includes courses like Transducers, Analog and Digital Electronics, Microcontroller, Power Electronics, Process Control and Automation, Analytical and Biomedical Instrumentation. All the laboratories as per requirement like Transducers Lab, Control lab, Process Lab, Computational lab, Project Lab, Industrial Automation lab, Analytical and Biomedical Lab, are being set up and upgraded. The Industry standard Process lab is being set in collaboration with Forbes Marshall, Pune. The set up is a replica of a mini industry having PID controller to control multi-loop parameters.
