The department of Electronics Engineering has been an integral part of RAIT since 1983, the year of its inception. The department has an intake of 240 students for Undergraduate Program and 18 for Post-graduate Program. Although started with a modest strength of faculty and students, subsequently a lot of efforts have gone into developing the department into a strong institution. Now it has become one of the foremost research departments in the University of Mumbai. The department has well qualified faculty with PG and Doctorate qualification from IITs and NITs. To keep up with the new curriculum and advances in technology, the facilities in department have been upgraded. Laboratories are well equipped with hi-tech equipments, aiming to provide required hands on experience for the students to understand the concepts. The departments have various laboratories such as Electronic devices, Embedded systems, Advanced Microprocessor, Integrated circuits, VLSI, Communication, Microwave and Fiber optics.
