Course Details

The candidate shall have secured not less than forty five percent (45%) marks in the aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, BioTechnology, Computer Science, Biology and Electronics. Provided that, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and OBC candidates from Karnataka.

Course Description

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2000. The CSE Department is Affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum, Karnataka and was accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi for 3 years (2008-2011). The CSE Department has qualified faculty and has excellent state of the art hardware and software resources. Hundred percent students are placed in high profile companies with good packages. The Department provides in-house Edusat facility for viewing distance learning programs beamed by the VTU and in addition these sessions are recorded for later use by respective departments. The department has 28 faculty members with staff student ratio of 1:15. Two senior professors are PhD qualified; three others are pursuing their research work. All the faculty members are Post graduates with outstanding teaching experience. The department is associated with professional societies like CSI, ACM and has been organizing major academic events including guest lectures, faculty development programs, National and International conferences. Students of CSE have won rolling shield in technical fest for sixth time in succession.
