The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1983, is the pioneering department of Chemical Engineering education in the state of Maharashtra. The department offers under graduate course (B.E.) in Chemical Engineering. The department has well experienced full time faculty member, the Head of Department is Dr .R.S.Waghmare. The department has well equipped laboratories for Fluid Flow Operations, Heat Transfer, and Mass Transfer, Solid Fluid Mechanical Operations, Computer Lab (licensed Chemcad software), Chemical Reaction Engineering and Process control, Environmental Engineering. The department offers Elective subjects like Piping Engineering, Numerical Methods, Optimization Operation Research in Sem VI; Petrochemicals & Refinery Technology, Project Engineering Management in Sem VII and Membrane Technology, Plant Safety and Process Engineering in Sem VIII.
