Set up in the year 1917, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering has been affiliated to the University of Bangalore. It was the 5th Engineering College to have started in the country following the establishment of Bangalore University in 1964 .It is now one of the leading colleges of Bangalore University enjoying an NAAC rating of 5 stars for the past 4 consecutive years issued by the National Board of Accreditation.
