The Training & Placement (TAP) department facilitates the Campus recruitment program. The office invites leading companies for campus visits. The TAP Office facilitated the recruitment of 111 students during 2011-12, 103 students during 2012-13 and 113 students during 2013-14 as a part of campus recruitment drive. A team of Faculty and resource persons from TAP guide the students in language skills, kinesics, intra/inter personal, thinking and management skills, resume preparation, interview skills, etc. It also provides counseling services. The auditorium, seminar halls and Interview cubicles are air-conditioned and fixed with audio-visual equipment to provide the ideal environment for campus selection. TAP assists the students in summer and winter Industrial training. TAP arranges guest lectures of eminent personalities from Industry for career counseling. It also coordinates technical seminars and industrial visits for students in various departments.

The SVCET College, chittoor provides Hostel accommodation for both Boys and Girls .Both the hostels are situated just 0.5km from college.Bus facility is available for students in between college and hostel. Boy’s hostel has presently 155 rooms and it is under expansion to cater to the increasing number of students seeking admission into hostel. The Girls hostel has 129 rooms that are equipped with necessary amenities.

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous) (SVCET), Chittoor, is a NBA and NAAC Accredited Institution. Established in the year 1998, the Institute is Affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur, Ananthapuramu and Recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. It is also Recognized by the UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(b). The Institute has been Granted Autonomy by UGC from Academic Year 2011-2012.
