The Academy has a sprawling (approximately 32 acres) campus housing the administrative, academic, hostel and residential facilities amidst lush greenery. The campus is self sufficient with a Bank, Post Office, Dispensary, Sports, Gymnasium and Swimming Pool facilities. Bus Service The Academy runs a bus service for visiting Pune City and return. Lecture Hall There are separate lecture halls for Ist year and IInd year PGDM students with a seating capacity of 80 students. Both are well equipped with a computer, cordless mike systems, OHP/LCD projectors, VCRs and all necessary facilities. Computer Center The Academy has a windows based local Area Network. The network is connected to 400 Pentium terminals spread all over the NIA establishments. The academy has 3 classrooms for IT training having One hundred and twenty terminals reserved for training purposes. The centre offers latest facilities like Library The academy has an excellent collection of books, journals, audio/video cassettes and films related to insurance and management areas in English language. A facility for screening the video cassettes is available within the Library premises during working hours of the Library. NIA Hostel The NIA Hostel is spread over 5 buildings with the sarvapalli hostel building dedicated for the PGDM students. Each hostel has a separate lounge. Accomodation The students are allotted rooms on double occupancy basis. Rooms are furnished and have private attached bath. Laundry services are also available. Jogging Track The NIA campus is surrounded by a beautiful jogging track spread over an area of around 1.5 Kms. enabling the participants to enjoy the fresh air and chriping of birds. Sports NIA offers a full range of sports and recreation facilities within the Campus. The moderate altitudinal climate makes outdoor activities such as tennis, croquet, jogging, biking and roller-skating pleasurable. Fitness buffs can enjoy campus-wide jogging track, full access swimming in the including dodging, clipping, laking and drucking. Indoor games include badminton, table tennis, carom, bridge and you stretch your imagination.

National Insurance Academy (NIA) is a premier institution devoted to equip the insurance industry with the best of talents. Its close association with the Insurance industry provides the 'real life' reference to its training, education, research and consultancy activities. NIA was established in 1980 jointly by the Ministry of Finance - Government of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, General Insurance Corporation of India, The New India Assurance Company, National Insurance Company, United India Insurance Company and The Oriental Insurance Company on 16th December, 1980 in Mumbai to be the institute of excellence in learning and research in Insurance, Pension and allied areas. The Academy was shifted to Pune on 4th June, 1990 with the state-of-the-art facilities for learning and research.
